General Settings
* = Required fields
Session Title* |
Name the session. This title will appear to customers on the opt-in screen. |
Client* | Associate the session to a client, typically the school or league name. |
Season (recommended) | Associate the session to a season. Seasons help keep your sessions organized and easy to find. Seasons also affect marketing, reports, and Portal. |
Category (recommended) | Select a category to define the session. These details can be particularly helpful with future reporting. |
Session Description (optional) | Writing a session description can be useful for your own notes. Nothing written here will be displayed on your website. |
Reference (optional) |
Add an optional reference string. It can be anything you want – whatever helps you track your jobs. It can also be used for FTP file locations. |
Access Code (optional) | This code can be used by visitors to lookup the session. |
Logo (optional) | Choose an image from your Media Library as the logo for this Session. We recommend choosing a PNG square image with transparency around the logo for the best possible result. A logo for the session can also be associated directly with a client. |
Fotomerchant Studio
Enable Studio |
Enable Fotomerchant Studio functionality for this Session. Please note, once this is enabled it cannot be reversed. Extra charges may apply. |
Automatically Remove Image Backgrounds |
All automated Studio functions can be toggled On/Off. See here for more information about Commerce/Studio automation |

Shopping Cart Settings
Published Image Crop | Choose the crop that your customers will see when viewing proofs in the shopping cart. By default, only the original crop will be displayed as a proof. |
Published Image Type | This setting allows you to specify what image types are shown in the cart. |
Fotomerchant Capture
Enable Capture | Activate Capture on the session to allocate devices and configure settings. |
Fotomerchant Portal
Enable Portal | Set to "Yes" if you want this session to be viewable in the Portal. |
Opt-In Page
Enable Opt-In Page | Opt-In Pages allow you to send gallery notifications and other useful marketing campaigns to parents and family members, even if the school isn't able to provide you parent contact information. Follow these instructions to set up an Opt-In page for your session. |
Order Import Options
Order Import Catalog (optional) | This is not for use with Studio Paper Imports, this is an older import option for creating digital downloads. |
Order Import Send SMS Notifications | Relates to the above import type only. |
Image Matching Preferences
Direct Fulfillment Products
Subject Images | When matching subject images to direct fulfillment product image nodes in imported orders or pre-orders, choose which image option you would like applied automatically to each order. Alternatively, you can select None if you'd prefer to make a manual selection. |
Default Image Crop | When matching subject images to direct fulfillment product image nodes in imported orders or pre-orders, choose the type of image crop you would like applied automatically. Use the drop-drown menu to make a selection. |
Image Submissions | When matching image submission images to direct fulfillment product image nodes in imported orders or pre-orders, choose the type of image you would like applied automatically. |
Digital Products
Subject Images | When matching subject images to digital product image nodes in imported orders or pre-orders, choose the type of image you would like applied automatically. |
Default Image Crop | When matching subject images to digital product image nodes in imported orders or pre-orders, choose the type of image crop you would like applied automatically. |
SMS Notifications
Send an SMS to the phone number associated with the subject when they are created. Follow this link for more details instructions. A delay of no more than 24 hours can be used for this feature.
SMS notifications must be enabled for your account. If they are not, please contact support through your Slack channel to discuss.
Options
Permalink (optional) | Changes the label of your Session as it appears in your website address (URL). This allows you to set a more SEO or user friendly URL that will not change even if your Session does. |
Apply Watermark (optional) | This will apply the Watermark settings to all images that appear with the galleries created for this Session. Your original images remain un-watermarked. This does not apply to the shopping cart images for your customers. |
Shoot Date (optional) | Input the date of the Session photo shoot. This will display on your Sessions page for easy viewing. This does not impact any other stage settings. |
Timezone | Choose the timezone for this Session. This will automatically be set to your account's timezone by default. |
Preferred Card Provider (optional) | If you have more than one Credit Card provider configured, you can set the preferred provider using the dropdown selection box above. If the preference set above is not configured or the provider set is not setup for your account, the cart will automatically fall back to a payment provider that is configured. |
