Need quick access to a pre-order session? Rather than having customers enter your website and enter an access code, you can create a direct link that your customers can use to immediately be directed to the shopping cart and start their order.
Direct links are useful when a stage is set up for a pre-order or when galleries are public and not linked to a subject. It's also beneficial to know how to generate a direct link when a customer is having trouble gaining access or does not have their password; you can simply email them the direct link to order.
- Inside of your Commerce account, click on the globe icon
in the top right corner of your screen.
- Copy the URL within your website search bar. Your URL should look similar to the example: https://happyhourfoto.com/search/
- Now you will need to add the Global Access Code to the URL. To find the Global Access Code, click Clients and Sessions from the menu panel and select Sessions from the drop-down menu. Use the search box or scroll to find the desired session.
- Once you found desired session, click on the Access Code just under the Session name and UID. You will receive a notice that the code has automatically been copied.
- Paste the Access Code to the end of the URL you previously copied. Your new example should look something like this: https://happyhourfoto.com/search/123code.
- Click on your new link to verify you are directed to the session as expected. Your direct link is now ready for use!
