There are three different session types: Pre-order / Pre-Payment, Re-order / Proofing, and Pause.
A Pause stage is a great way to temporarily stop an active session. This can be useful for a few different reasons:
-
When you do not want any visitors accessing the shopping cart session before a Pre-order stage or a scheduled shoot day.
-
A Pause stage can be used to separate a Pre-order and a Re-order stage to allow the studio to perform post-production work.
-
Begin the session with a Pause stage when you are not offering a Pre-order stage to supply the Opt-in link to gather more subscriber emails.
-
When a mistake has been made during a Session and can be used as an emergency pause to troubleshoot and regroup.
-
A Pause stage can be used as a redirect to not only the Opt-in link but to clients' own websites or informational pages.
Pause stages can have an automatic start and end date or they can be manually switched. This type of stage can also have a customized message, explaining things like why it is not yet available and when the stage will be set online.
If you have not yet created a session you can follow the tutorial in this link.
