We all know and love Dropbox. It's ideal if you want to get your images to a folder for your client to access and download copies of the original JPEG images, or if you simply want another backup copy stored in the cloud, Dropbox is one of the easiest ways to do it.
The Console Dropbox integrations make it easy to automatically copy your images from Capture, straight into your Dropbox account in real-time. You can configure different folder structures and file-naming conventions to suit your needs.
Like most of our integrations, you'll activate the integration at your account level once, and then you can add it for any events you create.

Note: When setting up the integration, it will automatically use the Dropbox account which is currently logged in and active. You may need to log out and log back in if you use multiple Dropbox accounts. |
Set up Dropbox integration (once only)
-
Go to your member page by clicking on your name in the top right corner of the page and selecting Member from the options.
-
On the Member page, click the Integrations tab, press the green New Integration button, and select Dropbox.
-
This takes us to a Dropbox login page. If you don’t already have a Dropbox account, you can create an account here.
-
To confirm, click the blue Allow button. When this has been followed correctly, you’ll be notified that the integration has been successful.
Activate integration with your event
-
Go to the event you want to use Dropbox with and scroll down to the Settings section.
- Select the Integrations tab and click the green Add button on the right. Dropbox will be one of the options.
- Now you can configure the naming and folder rules that will be used when we save your images to Dropbox.
- When complete, you will have a Dropbox listed on the Integrations section of the event page. You can check back here in the future if you need to see any details about the integration.
Troubleshooting
If you have tried following these steps and the Console is not syncing images to Dropbox. Please try the following:
- Double-check the Dropbox settings with the event. On the event page click Integrations>Dropbox>Edit. Ensure that the folder details and naming convention are correct.
- Try resyncing the job (click the green Sync button on the integration). If, after a period of time, they are still not syncing, try removing the Dropbox integration from the event. Click Detail on the integration, and then the red Remove integration button on the modal that appears.
- Re-add the Dropbox integration and try syncing the images again.
If this still does not work there may be something wrong with the Dropbox integration and the token may be missing. To fix this, remove the Dropbox integration from your account and re-add it.
- Click your name in the top right corner of the Console, select the Integrations tab, and then the red Delete button on Dropbox.
- After that is done you must add Dropbox as a new integration (explained above) and add it to the event again. Click the Sync button on the integration menu on the event. If problems persist, reach out to the support team on Slack.
