Capture
Assigning devices to an event ensures that all images that flow through a particular device, are grouped together in one event/session when they reach the Console. There are two ways of allocating devices from within Console:
- Updating the settings of the device.
- Update the Devices section of an Event.
|
Note: If you use Capture with Commerce, the best way to allocate devices is to use Job Sheets. |
Assigning from the Device Page
- With your Capture device turned on, open the Console and click on the Devices tab on the top banner and select the relevant Walker.
- This will open the Device page and you can access and edit the Device Settings section at the bottom of the page.
- Click on the event name (under Event) and a modal will appear. Either select an event from the list or search for an event in the space provided. Once chosen, click the green Select button at the bottom of the modal.
Assigning from an Event Page
- Click the Events tab on the top banner and select the relevant event.
- When on the Event Page, click the Devices tab, this is a few tabs across from the Event tab which will be selected by default. Once you select the Devices heading, click the green Add Device button.
- A new modal will open, select the device you wish to assign, and click the green Select button to confirm. The modal will close and the device will be added to the list. If it doesn't immediately show, refresh the page. The Devices section of the Event page will include information about all allocated Devices including online status, cellular reception strength, battery levels, and upload queue data.
