Event Registration allows users/guests to create their own 'attendee' for an event from their own phone, including taking a selfie to be used for Facial Recognition. When used in conjunction with Facial Recognition and/or Messaging, it forms a completely contact-free image delivery process.
Enabling Registration for your event
Once you have created your event:
- Open the Event page and under Event Details & Settings you will find the option to turn on Registration. Set Registration to Open and click the green box. If you have done this correctly, you'll notice that there is now a Registration area appearing below the event settings.
- Click the blue Edit button to configure the registration form and create multiple pages with new custom fields. If activated on your account, Facial Recognition functionality can also be added to the registration process.
- The registration page link is shown underneath (and is long for security). To quickly copy the URL, click on the small double square symbol at the right of the URL. You can click the small QR code in the same corner, which will show you a downloadable QR code that you can either print or email so that customers can scan the code with their phone camera and be taken to the registration link.
- This registration link should be given out to all guests that need to be registered for the event.

Example of the registration process
This example has been created for a school prom/formal which will be using Facial Recognition and SMS messaging:
Once an attendee presses the Take a Selfie button, they are taken to a new screen and their camera is automatically turned on (or requests permission). They can take a selfie and either confirm the image or retry the selfie. If the selfie is too dark they will be asked to try again and when taken back to the camera page, there will also be a dropdown message with a link to this article to help if they get stuck.
|
Note: Some devices will have camera permissions turned off resulting in a black screen instead of a selfie. If this is the case, the linked article will help them allow access so that the camera can work. |
Exporting Event Registration information
If you plan to export the information of all attendees after the session you can export a CSV file by going to the Event > Galleries > Attendees and selecting Export CSV.
