- Click on the Products tab in the left-hand menu panel and then select Custom Products.
- Once you find the item in the list and click on the product name.
- The product will open and you can edit the contents. Scroll down towards the bottom where the Taxable option is located.
- Make sure that your item is set to Taxable and then press SAVE.
Taxable vs Non-Taxable Products
Most Custom Products are considered taxable by local and state governments, but we recommend to check your local tax laws to be sure. Typically, if they are physical products that you are delivering to the subject then they are considered taxable.
There are a few instances where non-physical items may not be taxed. These are usually digital services provides by the studio.
These can include:
- Retouching
- Personalization
- Background removal and upgrades
- Foreground options
- Frame or border choices
