The Studio app gives you the ability to edit all of the Subject data for a session in bulk, as well as allowing you to perform various actions to manipulate the data.

Accessing the Subject Bulk Edit Page
- In the Studio app, go into the Sessions area and select the correct session.
- Next, navigate to the Studio > Subjects area.
- Use the green Actions button and click on Bulk Edit All Subjects.

The search bar
To make bulk editing subjects in Studio super easy, we've added an area to help filter and search for subjects based on certain attributes. The search options available are as follows:
- Filter By - filter the search by a specific column
- = - should the result be equal to the search term or not equal to the search term?
- Aa - case sensitivity
- W - match the entire word
- B - match blank results
Optional row filters
- Original Data/Final Data - toggle between viewing the original data and the changed/final data.
- Show Flagged - toggle between showing only flagged rows or showing all rows.
- All Subjects/Changed Subjects - toggle between viewing all subjects or only subjects with changes.
- SHOW INVALID? Highlights rows with invalid data (see Validation)???
Actions button
The Actions menu at the top right of the screen provides Actions that will apply to either all contents of the table or all selected columns. The visible options will depend on whether or not you have existing columns selected.
When no columns are selected, the following options are provided:
- Search & Replace - Opens the Search & Replace tool for all data in the table. For more info please refer to the article in this link.
- Reset All Changes - Reverts any changes made to any data in the table.
- Clear All Flagged - Clears any flagged rows.
When one or more columns are selected, you will also see these options:
- Force Upper Case - Updates all text in the selected columns to UPPERCASE.
- Force Lower Case - Updates all text in the selected columns to lowercase.
- Force Proper Case - Updates all text in the selected columns to Proper Case (i.e. first letter is uppercase, the rest is lowercase. Steven Smith).
- Autofill - Opens the Autofill tool for the selected columns. For more info please refer to the article in this link.
- Search & Replace - Opens the Search & Replace tool for the selected columns. For more info please refer to the article in this link.
- Reset Selected Column Changes - Reverts any changes to the data contained in the selected columns.
- Clear Selected Columns - Removes all data from the selected columns.
Headers Columns and Header Actions
The headers show the available data fields for the Subjects. The data can be sorted based on a header column by ascending or descending. It is also possible to only apply certain actions to the information in a column row.

- To sort by a specific data field you can use the green arrow icons in a header field.
- By clicking on a header, a new arrow icon will appear, that allows you to apply certain actions specifically to the information in this header column.
- Force Upper Case: Updates all text in the selected column to UPPERCASE.
- Force Lower Case: Updates all text in the selected column to lowercase.
- Force Proper Case: Updates all text in the selected column to Proper Case (i.e. first letter is uppercase, the rest is lowercase - Steven Smith).
Validation
Validation is performed on certain columns to ensure that only valid data is saved for each subject. The following validation is performed and will alert the user to data that does not pass validation.
- Password
- Must be between 5-26 characters.
- Must be unique.
- Email Address
- Must match the format of a valid email address.
- Phone Number
- Must match the format of a valid phone number.
- State
- Must match a valid state code (e.g. US-CA).
- Country
- Must match a valid country code (e.g. US).
