Sometimes you may need to delete an image from a subject gallery and upload a replacement image. Don't worry, we've got you covered.
This article relates to those who use one of the FTP workflows available:
- Filefzilla
- Goodsync
- Similar FTP uploader
|
Note: Deleting an image does not remove it from our storage. Make sure to adjust your data to ensure the correct image is uploaded (see below). |
When you upload an image to our servers using one of the above workflows (or our Studio platform), a new copy of that image is saved in your studio's storage bucket.
- If you delete an image from Commerce (or in Studio), then it is only deleted from those interfaces but not from the storage.
- If you do not edit the image but save it with a new file name and just re-use the same data, then our system will recognize that we have that file in storage and will re-import it.
- To add back an updated/edited version of an image to Commerce via FTP you must provide the edited image with a new filename; our system cannot tell that it has been modified if the name is the same.
- You need to also update the data to match the new filename that's been added to our system to successfully store and import.
Alternatively, you can also use the option to drag and drop the new image into the client gallery directly, provided that will not negatively impact another part of your workflow.
