Tag rules are a helpful way to identify images that meet specific criteria within a gallery. What does that mean? Why would you need tags?
If you only want to allow certain photos to be chosen as a yearbook pose or want to restrict the purchase of group photos as digitals, tags are the key to managing these configurations.
- Click Clients & Sessions from the menu panel and select Sessions from the drop-down menu.
- Go to the Subject tab to see the list of subjects and their associated galleries. Alternatively, you may need to go to the gallery tab to add tags to images there instead.
- Click the blue link to the Gallery you want to update.
- Select the images that require the new tag and either use the keyboard shortcut by pressing T, or click the green Add Tags button on the menu ribbon at the bottom of the window.
- A modal will pop up on the screen. Type the name of your tag into the space provided and press the green Save button. If you have used a tag previously it will appear as you start typing, select it and click Save. If you are creating a new tag you will need to write the tag and press Save.
- To double-check that the tags are active, you can refresh your browser, then use the sorty by function at the top and type in the tag you want to search for.
Note: Tags are at their most effective when tag rules are associated with products & packages inside a catalog. |
